Well, what a fantastic way to end 2022. We ran the dragster at the Central Nationals at Masterton on the 10-11 December 2022 in the Comp Division. It was a showery day Saturday with on two passes and another three on a nice hot Sunday. They were awesome passes, all 6s and over 200 mph.Off the trailer 1st pass – 6.820 @ 210, 2nd pass – 6.692 @ 213, 3rd – 6.517 @ 215, 4th pass – misread the weather slightly 6.552 @ 213, final pass – better tuneup, the magic number 6.481 @ 216.Couldnât have asked for better, with still plenty left in the old girl, letting us claim the BB/D National Record in an old car built in 1994 weighing 1088 kgs and only 20 over on the blower as per original class rules.Big thanks to our sponsors Total Transport, Repco – Penrite, PN Engine Rebuilders, Di & Buck for help in chassis mods to help take the power and of course all the crew, a big thank you.It is a proud achievement to finally break this long standing record, bring on 2023.Thanks to Graham Glimpses Photography for the awesome photos.Also congratulations to Gerald Smith, another one of our engines for winning the SCO class.
